OPPO has confirmed that its next flagship smartphones, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, will debut in China on October 16. The series will be powered by MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500 processor and ship with the new ColorOS 16, based on Android 16. An international launch, including India, is expected to follow.
The Find X9 series will mark the first commercial use of MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, which is built on a third-generation “All-Big-Core” architecture. OPPO says the processor will deliver major gains in both performance and power efficiency. The company will also integrate its in-house “Trinity Engine” to further optimise speed and battery life.
In terms of design, both phones are expected to feature premium build quality with IP68 and IP69 certifications, offering resistance against dust and water. The standard Find X9 will house a 7,025mAh battery, while the Pro version will carry a larger 7,500mAh unit. Both models will include a custom cooling system to ensure sustained performance during demanding use.
Cameras remain a highlight of the series, thanks to OPPO’s renewed partnership with Hasselblad. The Find X9 Pro is tipped to feature a 200MP primary camera alongside 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto lenses. The regular Find X9 may sport a triple 50MP camera setup, with a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The software experience will be driven by ColorOS 16, which OPPO will unveil a day earlier, on October 15, in Shenzhen. The Find X9 series will be the first to run the new interface out of the box.
With its combination of a powerful new processor, massive battery capacities, enhanced durability, and Hasselblad-tuned imaging, the OPPO Find X9 series is positioned to challenge other global flagships.
